Located in the SoHo Cast-Iron Historic District, the Guggenheim Museum SoHo offers visitors a splendid showcase of artistic endeavors. Much of what you will find at the Guggenheim SoHo can be grouped in the category known as mulitmedia art. As such, visitors are bound to find exhibits unlike anything they’ve seen before. The museum opened in 1992 as a downtown satellite for the Guggenheim Museum on the Upper East Side. Offering 30,000 square feet of exhibition space, the building is an excellent example of the architecture that is characteristic of the SoHo area of Manhattan.
